Ford Tourneo Connect Overview
The Tourneo Connect is a smart people mover
Smart, as you can seat up to five in the Tourneo Connect and up to seven in the even more spacious Grand Tourneo Connect.
Smart thanks to a range of petrol and diesel engines that offer rewarding performance and exceptional fuel-efficiency.
And there are plenty of smart safety features and remarkable technologies.
So see how the Tourneo Connect could be the smart choice for you
Flexibility for any eventuality
Tourneo Connect offers you outstanding flexibility for any combination of passengers and luggage. A choice of 5 seats in the Tourneo Connect or 7 in the Grand Tourneo Connect, with up to 16 different seat configurations. Second row seats tumble forward for easy access to the third row and second and third row seats can fold entirely flat to make room for larger loads (Grand Tourneo Connect). It’s the kind of flexibility that makes yoga teachers jealous.
Five star comfort with five-star safety
The Ford Tourneo Connect has been awarded a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Available with smart technologies such as Active City Stop, which can reduce the impact of certain collisions, and even help you avoid them and Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance which can automatically contact emergency services in the unlikely event of a crash.* It’s also available with the latest comfort & convenience technologies to help make driving easier.
*Ford Emergency Assistance operates in over 40 European countries. This feature works when paired with a compatible connected mobile phone that is with you when an airbag is deployed (excludes knee airbags) or a sensor that registers a crash deactivates the fuel pump. Text function and Emergency Assist not supported by all European languages. (See your local Ford website for latest information.)
Traffic Sign Recognition
Whether the signs are at the side of the road or above it, permanent or temporary, the optional Traffic Sign Recognition can identify them. An icon of that speed or a no-overtaking sign appears on the instrument cluster and changes every time you enter a new limit. (Option)
An advanced system to help you stay in lane
A Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Alert then warns you by vibrating the steering wheel and displaying a visual warning. If you're slow to react or don’t respond, Lane Keeping Aid can provide steering torque assistance to help guide you safely back into the right lane. The technology is designed for multi-lane roads (like motorways), so will automatically deactivate at speeds below 43mph (65 km/h) or can be turned off manually. (Option)
Bollards, bins, low walls…This optional Rear View Camera shows whatever’s behind you on a screen built into the centre console and activates automatically when you select reverse gear. The system also displays virtual guidelines to help you park into the smallest of spaces. (Option)
Sensors that take the stress out of parking
Optional Parking distance sensors help you judge the distance between your car and obstacles, both in front and behind you. When the sensors detect an object, they activate an audible warning that intensifies the closer you get to it. (Front parking sensors: option; Rear parking sensors standard on Titanium)
The auto-headlights contain sensors that detect failing light at dusk, or when there’s a sudden change in light conditions. For example, if you enter a tunnel. This triggers the auto-headlights to turn them-selves on, which can make driving both easier and safer. Auto-headlights are available as an option with rain-sensing wipers. (Standard on Titanium)
Auto High Beam. Helping you see, without dazzling others
A useful night-driving aid, optional Auto High Beam temporarily dips your headlights when it detects oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead, stopping you dazzling other drivers. Then it automatically reverts back to high beam, giving you maximum visibility. Auto High Beam is available as part of the optional Lane Keeping System feature.
